KENNETH USES THE ART OF STORYTELLING TO CREATE WORLDS THAT SOLVE PROBLEMS THAT REALITY FINDS COMPLICATED.
Kenneth Thomas is a lover of the arts, music, film, and writing.
Born in the state of North Carolina, Kenneth is the 15th child of 16 children. Growing up in poverty was an understatement. Being raised behind a southern juke joint where music rang out until the early hours of the mornings, it wasn’t long before he fell in love with music.
Since the townspeople were separate only by race and railroad tracks, he had the freedom to fall in love with different genres. No matter whether it was R&B, Hip Hop or Country, he always seemed to find a story worth acknowledging in the artist.
At the age of 13, Kenneth felt he had a story worth telling and began to write. He began to write music as an escape from the violence and racism that once plagued his town. Music would one day lead him to cities such as Atlanta, New York, Puerto Rico and more, where he worked with artists such Money Harm of Product G&B all the way to Puerto Rico where he worked raggaetone producer BONES of MAS FLOW INC.
Kenneth, eventually decided 3 minute songs just didn’t give him enough time to tell the stories he was interested in. This feeling lead him to try his hand at writing short stories, which in some way was his therapy.
In no time at all, Kenneth fell deeper in love with the art of storytelling in the written form, and wrote novels such as SHADE TREE MAFIA Parts 1 &2, and HIP HOP MURDERED ME “The Luvella LeRoux Story”. His stories are very engaging and dramatic, and it was suggested to him to adapt to screen. From this, Kenneth trained himself and wrote several feature screenplays and pilots, with some placing in the largest screenplay competitions in the world.
In 2017, Kenneth hit the ground running and partnered with Andrea Thomas to build DEPROGRAM X FILMS, in Virginia Beach, VA.
